CEO Weighs In on State of Health Care

Rush Oak Park Hospital President and CEO Bruce Elegant shares his thoughts on the state of health care in an article in West Suburban Living magazine.

Oak Park, IL (June 29, 2012) — With yesterday’s Supreme Court ruling on health care reform legislation, West Suburban Living magazine’s recently released article on the state of health care is especially apt. The article checks in with administrators at several leading west suburban hospitals, including Rush Oak Park Hospital President and CEO Bruce Elegant, to take a closer look at how health care is delivered and where it’s headed.

In the article, Elegant says health care is headed for major change. He outlines efforts to increase efficiency at Rush Oak Park Hospital and talks about the implementation of a continuum of care approach in which primary care physicians work with the hospital to create patient-centered “medical homes.”
