New Board Members Appointed

Oak Park, IL (January 1, 2005) — RUSH Oak Park Hospital has appointed two new members to its Board of Directors: Donna M. Carroll, president of Dominican University and the Honorable Judge John D. Tourtelot.

Dr. Carroll, in addition to her role as president of Dominican University in River Forest since 1994, is currently chair of the Federation of Independent Illinois Colleges and Universities, secretary/treasurer of the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities, on the Advisory Board of the International Human Rights Law Institute at DePaul University, and on the Board of Directors of the Oak Park Development Corporation. Dr. Carroll has been named by the Chicago Sun Times as one of the top ten women in education.

Tourtelot, an Associate Cook County Circuit Court Judge since 1995, has thirty-three years’ experience in law and law enforcement. He has served as Assistant Illinois Attorney General, Special Prosecutor for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, has been a faculty member at Harper College for nine years, and has hosted the Law Forum radio show as well as The Law Corner television program. A former Army Lieutenant, Judge Tourtelot commanded an infantry platoon in Vietnam. He is a volunteer at St. Alexius Hospital in Hoffman Estates and Judge Advocate for Disabled American Veterans.

The new members will serve a three-year term from December 2005 through December, 2008.
