Rush Oak Park Physicians’ Group
For Older Adults
While change is a natural part of the aging process, Rush Oak Park Physicians’ Group physicians strive to keep older adults as healthy as possible, through periodic checkups, management of chronic conditions like hypertension or hearing loss, and early detection of diseases.
The AGE-WISE program helps older adults stay well, independent, and informed about their health and disease prevention through free or low-cost health screenings, education programs and a quarterly newsletter. And, the program's holistic approach to wellness includes attention to nutrition, medications, social support and lifestyle.
The Center for Rehabilitation at Rush Oak Park Hospital—managed by Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital—provides acute rehabilitation services after stroke, surgery or neurological disorder. The Skilled Care Unit offers physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy, and features beauty and barber services, and other comforting amenities.
