Services Provided

The Center for Rehabilitation at Rush Oak Park Hospital provides treatment for patients recovering from:

  • Stroke
  • Neurological conditions such as Parkinson's Disease and Guillain-Barre Syndrome
  • Musculoskeletal and neuromuscular disorders
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Amputations (the Center includes a prosthetic and orthotic clinic)
  • Heart disease
  • Cancer
  • Sports injuries
  • Mobility impairments due to prolonged hospitalization with medical and surgical complications
  • Orthopedic conditions such as hip and knee replacements, fractures, multiple trauma and arthritis
  • Brain injury
  • Spinal cord injury

The Center also provides services in the following specialties:

  • Pain management
  • Hand therapy
  • Lymphedema management
  • Monochromatic Near-Infrared Photoenergy (MIRE) Therapy, a non-invasive treatment for neuropathy and wounds
  • Whirlpool therapy
  • Driver evaluation
  • Pediatric speech
