Services Provided
The Center for Rehabilitation at Rush Oak Park Hospital provides treatment for patients recovering from:
- Stroke
- Neurological conditions such as Parkinson's Disease and Guillain-Barre Syndrome
- Musculoskeletal and neuromuscular disorders
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Amputations (the Center includes a prosthetic and orthotic clinic)
- Heart disease
- Cancer
- Sports injuries
- Mobility impairments due to prolonged hospitalization with medical and surgical complications
- Orthopedic conditions such as hip and knee replacements, fractures, multiple trauma and arthritis
- Brain injury
- Spinal cord injury
The Center also provides services in the following specialties:
- Pain management
- Hand therapy
- Lymphedema management
- Monochromatic Near-Infrared Photoenergy (MIRE) Therapy, a non-invasive treatment for neuropathy and wounds
- Whirlpool therapy
- Driver evaluation
- Pediatric speech
