(Sept. 16, 2019) Rush Oak Park Hospital has added new member Everett Ward to its board of directors.
Ward, a real estate attorney and partner with Quarles & Brady, a national law firm, is a longtime resident of Oak Park. He is also a member of the board of trustees of The Field Museum of Chicago and previously served as a member of the board of directors of the Oak Park Economic Development Corporation.
Ward works with local organizations on a regular basis, including the Oak Park River Forest Infant Welfare Society, which recently benefited from his expertise to purchase new property.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of Rush Oak Park Hospital,” said Ward, who received his Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University and his law degree from Harvard Law School. “I look forward to helping the hospital continue its mission to improve the health of the individuals and diverse communities it serves.”
Bruce Elegant, president and CEO of Rush Oak Park Hospital, said Ward’s experience in community affairs will help strengthen the hospital’s commitment to provide quality health and compassionate care.
“Mr. Ward’s addition to the board provides a great deal of experience and knowledge at a time when the hospital is seeing a high level of growth,” added Elegant. “We’re pleased to have him on our board.”
Rush Oak Park Hospital’s board consists of six voting members, including Chairman Gary McCullough, former CEO of ARI Packaging and also a longtime Oak Park resident.
